The following retirement systems are supported by Monroe City Schools which are managed by the Financial Clerk & Retirement Specialist.
The State of Louisiana requires that teachers join the TRSL. Monroe City Schools contributes 13.1% and employees contribute 8% of their salary to the retirement program. Retirement contributions are tax -sheltered payroll deductions.
