Professional Development Opportunities

Several people have requested PD sessions in July as many of them were involved in the outstanding Summer Enrichment opportunities within MCS.  So, with that being said, please look at the sessions that are scheduled below.  There are many sessions scheduled, and I will try to work out an afternoon session for some of these, as well.

Google Slides allows teachers and students to create engaging, animated presentations to deliver content and show mastery of content for students. The FREE program is readily available anytime, anywhere you have internet access, and the program features a lot of tools and tricks that you can use.

Our students live in a digital world. With web programs like YouTube, Facebook, Tik Tok, and other video-intensive, teachers need to be able to grab the student's attention and create excitement about the upcoming content. Animoto allows teachers to create content trailers to serve as the "educational hook" that gets a lesson going!

Creating Assessments in Edulastic – July 15, 2021, at 9:00 AM 

MCS uses Edulastic as a means to deliver benchmark and other assessments district-wide. Some teachers don't feel comfortable creating their own assessments in the Edulastic system, so let's see how easy it is to create assessments, assign them, and review results in the program.

Online Collaboration Using Google Classroom – July 20, 2021, at 9:00 AM 

Google Classroom is a great way to do collaborative projects, and the students don't even have to be in the same room. It also works for teachers, too! PLC's anyone?
