CC: Have them discuss how the Mississippi River and other waterways have shaped Louisiana history as natural resources (label map of navigable rivers, bayous). Then, have them explain the economic impact of the steamboat on growth and economic development and its contribution to economic interdependence at the local, national, and global levels.
