Activity 1: Poetry Vocabulary (GLEs:  01a, 01b, 17a, 17b, 17d)


 

CC: Students will create a personal list for poetry/vocabulary terms encountered in reading. Students will use vocabulary strategies (e.g., word map, flashcards, Frayer model, linear array) to acquire knowledge, particularly connotation/denotation of words and root words and word parts.

 

Use MS Word to create a vocabulary chart based on the Frayer model and a chart for poetry terms and vocabulary words.
