Unit 7: Nations and Democracy Activity 6: Early American Leaders (GLE: 57)
CC: Assign students to work in teams of four to research the administration and life of one of the first four presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, or James Madison. Have the groups, after researching their president, cooperate to make large charts listing the information they have found. Have them chart at least three problems each president faced during his term of office and list the proposed solutions to those problems. The teams can present their findings on charts or in PowerPoint presentations.
