Unit 4: Living Organisms Activity 5: Producing from Plant Parts (GLEs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 45, 46, 49)
CC: Students will be asked to make predictions about what will happen and to track the changes in the bulbs, root, and tubers over time, drawing and recording anecdotal observations in their science journals.
Students could use digital cameras to show the change in the plants over time. They could compile their images into a PowerPoint with the rest of their data to present to the class.
CC: Students should compare the similarities and differences between the new plant and the parent plant.
Students can use Inspiration or Kidspiration software to create the comparisons. Inspiration template - "Parent vs. New Plant"
