Activity 6:  Observing the Water Cycle (GLEs:  1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 21, 24, 25)

 

 

CC:   Have students design an investigation to model the water's disappearance (vaporization), which will lead them to determine where the water went.

 

Use MS Word to create a graphic organizer for the investigation.

CCThe vocabulary words introduced for the water cycle are evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Define the terms in relation to the model and to the water cycle. Use drawings or roundhouse diagrams to represent the water cycle and to put all of the ideas in the models together.
