CCPart B: In a guided inquiry, students will investigate how temperature affects the motion of particles of matter. Use a lab sheet  showing two data tables with columns labeled as temperature, time, and appearance for recording data on warm and the cool water samples.

Part A: Pour a bag of popcorn kernels into a clear container. Then pour a similar bag of popped corn into another container. Ask students to compare the two containers of popcorn.
