Unit 4: The Multiplication Algorithm Activity 1: Multiplication Target Game (GLEs: 4,10, 11)
CC: Have two students play this game. A 3-digit target number is selected. Players take turns choosing two factors they think will result in a product close to the target number. Calculators are used to check their guesses, and the result is recorded as either "too high" or "too low." The winner is the student who finds two correct factors, or the one who guesses closest to the target. This game can be adapted to use constant factors. (Play this game several times.)
