Unit 3:  Developing Multiplication and Division

Activity 4: Multiplication Strategies (GLEs:  4, 10)

CC:  Have students work as a class to construct strategies that can be used to help with multiplication. Ex. Multiplying by two's is the same as adding doubles. Use the minute hand on the clock to multiply by five. Display the multiplication strategy chart in the room as an easy reference when students are having difficulty.

Use MS Word to create the strategy chart.
