Activity 4:  Why Do You Recommend This Author? (GLEs:  14b, 14c, 14d, 14e, 26a, 27, 29, 31b, 31c, 31d)

CC:  The student makes a list of the reasons this book is worth reading. Questions to consider may include:

Is it humorous?

Is it compelling?      

Will it keep you on the edge of your seat?

 Is it like watching a movie in your mind?

Using these observations as supporting details, students write a letter recommending the book to a classmate.

Use MS Word to create a chart with the list of reasons the book is worth reading.
