Barkdull Faulk Elementary School is a pre-kindergarten through sixth grade facility housing approximately 300 students. The staff is compromised of 16 classroom teachers, 2 special education teachers, 1 librarian, 3 special education paraprofessionals, a computer lab manager, 3 Title 1 tutors, a secretary and a computer operator.
Our motto, "A Great Place to Grow," describes the atmosphere of the school and the attitude of the staff and students. The students at Barkdull Faulk are motivated to develop academically and socially in a wholesome, constructive climate which emphasizes personal responsibility and individual integrity. The students at Barkdull Faulk are given a wide range of educational experiences through the use of traditional classroom instruction, peer tutoring, classroom mentoring, computer-assisted instruction, and a full-time computer lab for students in grades K through sixth. Students are motivated to achieve through such programs as: Student of the Month, good conduct skating parties, Honor Roll Recognition, and Principal's List Recognition. THE LEARNER'S CREED I believe in myself to do my best and not waste this day. I will listen, I will think, I will read, I will write. I will do all of these things with one purpose in mind, to do my best and not waste this day for this day will not come anymore.
