The Tech Coach Program was created to address the rapid increase of the use of instructional technology in the Monroe City Schools. It ensures that every school has a person that is trained to provide on-site professional development and to assist teachers with curriculum integration and minor technical issues.

Certified teachers are eligible to apply for the part-time position. Instructional Technology provides an intensive professional development regimen that encompasses the major systems used by the district, adopted hardware and software, and basic troubleshooting. In turn, the coach redelivers the professional development at the school site for teachers and provides curricular and technical assistance. The Tech Coach receives a stipend for the additional responsibilities which are conducted after school hours.
