My Christmas Wish

 My Christmas Wish is.......

My
Christmas
Wish is on the
List of the most
Famous man on earth
I can't say my wish is
valuable or that it has
sentimental worth I have a
wish that many have wanted
To Come True it is a wish as sweet
As honey and as wonderful as the
Sky is blue I wish for something that
comes mainly from above I
Wish to be
Happy and
To be loved

A Christmas Wish
Being a Friend

While children are outside all day
Running and laughing while they play

Thinking of gifts and toys they might receive
But not of the girls and boys who grieve

Not thinking without any regret
Of the Christmas presents they are to get

Then on that special day
When you go outside to play

You see a lonely boy under a tree
Knowing how sad he could be

You invite him over to play
Not knowing what he say

Then you look onto those eyes of his
That's when you find out what the gift of the giving really is

To have a friend in need
Is a friend indeed

A Christmas Wish

Have you ever seen someone who was weak and hungry,
and had no food when they woke in the morning?

They go out everyday looking for food to eat,
scraping trash cans up and down the street.

The only water they drink is probably filled with dirt.
Seeing people like that really does hurt.

Now Christmas time is coming and the wind starts to blow,
I wonder what they are going to do when it starts to snow.

Every Christmas I wished that there was something I could do,
such as sending presents to them, instead of giving it to you.

This Christmas I plan to go out into the streets,
and give someone something to eat.

Christmas is a time for giving and sharing,
and as much love I feel for these people I would also be caring.

Christmas Wishes

I wish this Christmas would be filled with joy
And presents would be given to every girl and boy.
I wish that Christmas would be filled with love
So that blessings would be sent from up above.
I wish that everyone in the world could have food to eat
I also wish they could have shoes on their feet.
I wish the hate today would end
I wonder why everyone just can't be friends.
I don't wish for presents or much for me
I just wish that everyone would be free.
I wish the homeless would find somewhere to live
I wish the selfish would learn to give.
I just wish the world would become a better place
And it wouldn't be based on my race.

 The Feeling of Christmas

You can say it's the best time of all the year
since you're likely to be grinning from ear to ear.

You can say it's the time of most happiness and joy,
especially for every little girl and boy.

You can say it's the time for giving and sharing -
the time of extra loving, the time for caring.

You can say it's the time for presents galore -
the time for decorations from window to door.

You can say it's the time for singing of carols -
the time for forgetting all your problems and perils.

You can say it's the time for St. Nick and all he brings -
the time for realizing the truth of a little one's dream.

You can say it's the time to express peace, as the wise ones say -
This is what you feel on Christmas day!

A Christmas Morning

Christmas morning
the tree, lights
carols, movies
colorful wrapping paper
gift giving
small kids, laughing, smiling
toys, clothes, dolls
batteries?
snow falling?
Santa Claus!
Kitchen aromas...
I can't believe my eyes
yams, cakes, pies,
as we settle down
for hot ham,
turkey and dressing
holding hands, bowing heads
saying our blessings.

My Christmas Wish...

My Chrismas Wish is for you, not me.
My Christmas wish is for caring and kindness.
My Christmas wish is for healing.
My Christmas wish is for the homeless.
My Christmas wish is for the Middle East.
My Christmas wish is for tearing down walls.
My Christmas wish is for God to give peace.
My Christmas wish is for good will to all mankind.

Christmas Noise

At six-thirty, I'm up, rattling paper,
mom and sister, squealing because they got
what they wanted,
television on
How the grinch Stole Christmas
outside,
kids riding power wheels
and rolling on new roller blades,
Inside,
clinking pots and stirring around
I smile, giggle
family prayer at the table
thanking God
for Christmas noise.

This Christmas Eve

Colder weather, longer nights,
Children's faces lit up so bright
Last minute shopping bit by bit
In stores the Christmas light have lit

Planes, trains, and buses a plenty
Bringing in families, oh, so many
Cakes and pies, what sweet, sweet smells--
Holiday cards in the afternoon mail

Santa in his big red suit
Down the chimney he shall shoot
With his bag of Christmas gear
To bring us many wishes for the New Year

As I close my eyes to feel the peace
I think about tomorrow's lovely feast
And though I hate to see it leave
I thank the Lord for this Christmas Eve
