Monroe City Schools extends Hands and Wishes around the world for a Happy Holiday!

This holiday season our nation is still waging its war on terrorism, and many of our young men and women are serving in the armed forces here and in other countries. Our wish is for a peaceful and joyous holiday at home and around the world. To express this, our elementary students have made "handprint" wreaths, and our junior and senior high school students have written poems and essays. The winning wreath from each elementary school is featured on our Holidays on the Highway web site, and all the other wreaths will be distributed to the residents of the local Veterans' Home. The poems and essays are also on our web site. And, of course, you are invited to browse other areas of the site. Each year, we add new sections and update others. The Holidays project is 6 years old this year. Please share our holiday wishes by sending this web address to family and friends around the world.

Merry Christmas, Tov Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa!
