Overview:
Students will set up accounts on the Virtual Stock Exchange as part of an
ongoing year-long stock exchange project.
Approximate Duration: 1 fifty minute class period and 20 minutes a week

Background Information:
Student should be familiar with using the Internet and should have completed
the Stock Market Flyer.
Lesson Procedures:
1. TLW meet in computer lab and sign in on individual computers.
2. TTW introduce the lesson and give an overview of the virtual stock exchange.
3. TTW answer questions about the assig
4. TLW use the VSE to purchase stock.
5. TLW print out a copy of the completed selection (1 copy for the teacher, 1
for student)
Assessment Procedures:
This project is part of a year long exploration of the stock market. Students
will be assessed according to the notebook rubric provided to them.
Accommodations/Modifications:
TTW provide a seating chart.
TTW provide a peer tutor and one-to-one assistance for students with special
