| Students in this lesson will examine countries whose history and
geography are very different from those of the United States.
Latin American countries have complex environments, rapid population
growth and political turmoil hinders growth. Latin America's
problems are a deep concern of the United States. |

Information:
Knowledge of how diverse a region Latin America is and surfing the
internet. |
Lesson
Procedures:
1.Show through oral discussion and map presentation the area of Latin
America.
2.Assign through grouping some of the major countries in Latin America
for research via the internet.
3.Record a list of the countries and needed data to be research
(checklist).
4.Each group will share data found.
5.Each student will write a composition based on the data shared
telling which country they would most and least like to live in.
6.Class quiz of basic data on some of the Latin American countries.

Limit region to only a couple of countries.
