OIC Admission Process

OIC has an admission process as follows:

A. Application

OIC developed and implemented a new application to accommodate all programs. The application allows OIC to also provide detailed statistical information on each client served.

B. Termination

For all students exiting programs, OIC has developed a termination from which allows for the statistically tracking of each student that exits the Center.

C. Follow-Up

A 13 week follow-up has been developed enabling the OIC Program to track each client as to his status after completing training. This also provides the Center with statistical data indicating the retention, etc. of job placement after training. This procedure will be implemented in the 1996-97 fiscal year.

D. Employment Data

Records are kept on students regarding employment which includes information of all pertinent statistics, as to employment at time of placement such as wage-per-hour, number of hours per week, and job title.

Implementation

The following systems are currently being implemented at OIC so that staff can become more efficient and reports, i.e. attendance, grades and all other types of record maintenance:

A. Statistical Data Reporting System

A comprehensive reporting system for all students entering the OIC program. This system includes demographic data such as gender breakdown, etc.

B. Financial reporting System

An accounting system which is done in-house with monthly monitoring being handled by a Certified Public Accountant.

C. OIC Student Handbook

This handbook lists programs, services, and information pertaining to OIC of Ouachita.
